“Souvenir” is a compelling journey through the fascinating atmospheres of the great masters of film music and music itself.
The elegance and depth of Glass’s piano performances, drawn not only from his most celebrated works for the piano but also from iconic compositions for film, such as “The Hours” and “The Truman Show,” transport viewers into an immersive vortex, fully immersing them in the composer’s evocative and evocative world.
The concert evolves gracefully into Morricone’s incredible harmony, with carefully selected songs from masterpieces such as “Nuovo Cinema Paradiso” and “The Legend of the Pianist on the Ocean.”
Through sounds and atmospheres, “Souvenir” aims to engage viewers by revealing the process of birthing grand compositions from a few elements and sounds.
Gabriele Artuso graduated in transverse flute from the Conservatory of Turin with Michele Mo and has delved into contemporary repertoire with artists such as Giampaolo Pretto and Carlo Bertola. He played with the Toujour Ensemble of Turin in the project “Cronache Animali” in prestigious theaters. He also acquired skills in double bass, composition, improvisation and jazz, studying with masters such as Stefano Solan, Pierre Vaiana, William Parker, Stefano Battaglia and others. In 2003, he received a special award at the International Festival “Streets of Cinema.” Gabriele has studied jazz with the likes of Berry Harris and William Parker. He has recorded with the Orjazz ensemble, consolidating his presence in contemporary and jazz music.
Christian Rossetti, born in Biella in 1988, has cultivated a deep passion for music since his youth. He began studying classical piano with concert pianist Paola Motta. His dedication led him to the L. Perosi School of High Artistic Musical Perfection and later to the “Guido Cantelli” Conservatory in Novara. Under the guidance of Maestri Alessandro Commellato and Michele Fedrigotti, he obtained two degrees in classical piano, deepening his understanding of Romantic, American and contemporary music through theses and research.
Christian has demonstrated his talent and artistic maturity by performing publicly since the age of 13. He has participated in numerous concerts with diverse musical projects, highlighting his musical versatility. His career is characterized by experimentation and fusion of musical genres.
