Promenade is among the longest-running chamber groups on the Italian music scene, in fact it saw the light in 1982 , on the initiative of a young group of musicians trained at the G.Verdi Conservatory in Milan. Having distinguished himself in important national and international competitions, in his 40 years of concert activity, Promenade is regularly invited to important seasons and concert halls including: the Museo Teatrale alla Scala with whom he has collaborated for years, the Società dei Concerti of Milan, the Teatro Filodrammatici, La Società Umanitaria of Milan, Pantelleria Festival, Gli Amici della Musica of Lodi, the Società dei Concerti of La Spezia, the Palazzo Grassi of Venice, the Locarno Festival, the Sala di Vittorio at the Milan Chamber of Labor In addition to its repertoire of original pieces for wind quintet, the group also performs a series of transcriptions of celebrated pieces and contemporary music compositions written and dedicated to Promenade.

Alessandro Commellato, an Italian pianist, studied with Carlo Vidusso in Milan and perfected his skills with Pier Narciso Masi, Evgeny Malinin and Sergio Fiorentino. He has won major international competitions and performed as a soloist with many prestigious orchestras around the world. He is known for his interpretations of contemporary works with the Divertimento Ensemble and has toured the U.S., Russia, Japan and Australia. As a soloist, he has been invited by such renowned theaters as La Scala in Milan and La Fenice in Venice. Commellato is also a highly regarded chamber musician and performer of historical keyboards, participating in international festivals and recording for Brilliant Classics and RAI. He currently teaches piano at the “G. Verdi” Conservatory in Milan.
