The brass ensemble was created as part of the “Obiettivo Orchestra” training project carried out by the Fondazione Scuola Alto Perfezionamento Musicale di Saluzzo and the Filarmonica Teatro Regio Torino aimed at training young musiciansfrom all over Europe in the orchestral profession. The orchestral training course prepares young undergraduates and graduates for the orchestral profession and the entrance selection tests it entails, following a specific educational program under the guidance of the first parts of the TRT Philharmonic and with these very specific aims:
– build a bridge between academia and the professional world
– teach how to prepare for auditions and competitions to enter orchestras
– meet the needs and expectations of those who have finished their studies and want to continue their education
The project also consists of the prestigious Academy of Orchestral Conducting under the guidance of Maestro Donato Renzetti, one of the most celebrated conductors and an internationally renowned important teacher.
The methodologies of work, the activities carried out and the artistic and institutional actors involved make this course unique in the national and international panorama and allows students a complete and modern training, both on the technical/interpretative level, and on the psychological and behavioral level even regarding the managerial and organizational aspect.
The Objective Orchestra Brass Ensemble was born in this context and is formed by the students of brass classes.
Through a musical program that is very varied in terms of epochs, styles and character, chosen by the ensemble itself, it is intended to accompany the start of the day by combining the vibrations of music with the view of the splendid panorama of the Monte Marca Refuge. The concert will begin with the sublime and ceremonial music of G. Gabrielli, inspired and performed in the great Renaissance cathedrals, to the energy of S. Joplin and H. Carmichael through the poetry of E. Morricone.
