When Marie Pravda sets up in a DJ booth, it is because she wants to trigger a certain chemistry with those who are there to welcome her. Although she is perfectly capable of generating a similar energy in her creations for the online world, it is the endless drive and interaction with the physical crowd that fuels her selection and mixing. Having become an avid collector and scout during long shifts in dark underground and online venues, the DIY DJ and promoter from Prague has taken the Czech scene by storm with her assertive approach to a growing range of club music, both with her trippy and dance collection selections. In 2020 she joined the resident collective of Ankali & Planeta Za, where she runs Planeta Pravda, a regular club series.
Marie has contributed episodes to numerous online radio and club and nonclub mix series. She has recorded mixes for Knekelhuis, hereandthere, Galactic Funk and has appeared in online broadcasts for NTS, Hör, Mutant, Kiosk, Operator and many others. In 2021-2023 she was a member of the artist roster of Gravity Network, an international initiative for the exchange of club culture in Europe and beyond.
