Gabriele Gasparotti is an author of electroacoustic music composed with analog instrumentation. He studied composition and electronic music at the Verdi Conservatory in Milan. He is the creator of the music project “Extrema Ratio” and “Gasparotti Muga Muchu Morphing Theater,” a multimedia project aimed at the interaction of music, visual and performing arts, deeply influenced by surrealism and esotericism. His album, Snapshots vol.1 (2020 – Dio Drone, II Dio Selvaggio) was received with great enthusiasm by the public, critics and artists such as Iggor Cavalera (Sepultura), who called it among the most interesting projects in contemporary electronic experimentation.
His new album, Tropisms, was released in May 2024 on the American label Important Records and Dio Drone. The album was born from an intense collaboration with cellist, performer and sound designer Benedetta Dazzi, with whom he performed more than seventy concerts between 2021 and 2022. At Piedicavallo Festival the artist performs with Buchla analog synthesizers, voice, viola, and magnetic tape as a duo together with musician and sound designer Benedetta Dazzi on cello and live electronics.
