It was November 2018 when Oren Ambarchi, Johan Berthling, and Andreas Werliin met at Studio Rymden in Stockholm to make what became Ghosted. Today, Ghosted’s music exists in the intention to create a shared moment in which to play, a sharply paced tempo carried on with a steady flow of small details on the bass, of rhythmic flexibility within a minimal structure. Marked by enduring tension and deep atmospheres, the trio’s first album, titled “Ghosted,” was released in May 2022, meeting with an enthusiastic response worldwide. The trio then began a series of concerts throughout Europe, and two years later, in April 2024, “Ghosted II” was released, an album characterized by a decidedly innovative quality. The mutual feeling between the three musicians is deep and allows for much more to be added each time they come together – a further recombination of elements, a new exploration through alternative angles. There is always more and, amazingly, it is all improvised, with almost nothing prepared and minimal additions once the basics are in place.
