Born in the South, now based in Turin, Stefania Vos has been working as a DJ, radio host/producer and community agitator for more than a decade.
Raised as a drummer and later becoming a DJ, she finds rhythm and complex percussion the relentless driving force behind her sets, often seasoned with a degree of self-mockery and playfulness. With a keen ear for edgy, shimmering sounds, combined with a visceral attraction to sub-heavy, sensual bass lines, syncopated riddims and all manner of musical contamination, Stefania’s sets are high-octane, rhythm-fueled explosions of energy.
Stefania is a core member of Turin-based RBL.MEDIA international community radio station, for which she works as a radio producer, communications manager and hosts her own programs. She is also one of the founders of Imbarchino del Valentino, one of the most active spaces in Northern Italy in presenting contemporary and independent, experimental and underground electronic music. Since 2019, she is also one-third of the curatorial committee of Non Frequencies Festival.
In contrast to her club persona, Stefania pursues personal research on ambient, leftfield and experimental music. Over the years she has participated in several Italian festivals such as Jazz:Re:Found, Jazz Is Dead, Borgofuturo, MUNDI Festival, SYS Palermo and ClubToClub, for which she opened the main stage in the 2022 edition.
